About the RoleWe are searching for a hands-onEngineering Technical Leadto drive software architecture, maintain high-quality engineering standards, and lead a high-performing team of 5 developers.In this role, you will design scalable web applications and robust backend systems while remaining actively involved in writing code.

Contract Type:Independent Contractor.Compensation:Paid in USD.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Architecture:Design, implement, and maintain scalable microservices and monolithic architectures tailored to business needs.Hands-on Development:Maintain an active coding footprint while providing daily technical direction to a team of 5 engineers.Backend & API Mastery:Enforce best practices for backend engineering, robust API design (REST/GraphQL), and security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
Data Strategy:Define data persistence strategies across relational databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL solutions (MongoDB), and high-performance caching (Redis).
Code Quality & Mentorship:Drive high code standards, conduct deep-dive code reviews, identify vulnerabilities/performance bottlenecks,



and mentor team members.Infrastructure Collaboration:Partner with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Qualifications & RequirementsExperience:6+ years in full-stack web application development, with at least 3+ years in a technical leadership role.Tech Stack:3+ years of deep expertise inNode.js, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Python.Database Systems:Strong hands-on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, BigQuery) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
DevOps & Cloud:Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Track Record:Proven ability to deliver enterprise-level projects, profile slow code, and patch security vulnerabilities.Soft Skills:Strong communication, Agile execution, and pragmatic problem-solving capabilities.Education:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
