EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Finance, or related field.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

The Account Representative is responsible for managing quality and commercial claims related to steel transactions, ensuring timely resolution, accurate documentation, inventory reconciliation, supplier recovery follow-up, and proper material disposition. This position serves as a key liaison between customers, suppliers, processors, insurance providers, and internal departments to minimize financial losses and maintain operational continuity.

Claims Management

· Register, track, and manage customer, supplier, processor, and insurance claims.

· Validate claim scope, supporting evidence, and financial impact.

· Coordinate investigations and root cause analysis with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

· Monitor claim status until final resolution and closure.

· Maintain accurate claim logs and reports.

Supplier Recovery & Documentation

· Collect and organize claim documentation, including invoices, contracts, packing slips, delivery records, photographs, and quality evidence.

· Submit complete claim packages to suppliers and insurance companies.

· Follow up on credit notes, reimbursements,



and recovery payments.

· Ensure all supporting documentation complies with company and customer requirements.

Inventory & Financial Reconciliation

· Perform monthly reconciliation of claims inventory, credit notes, and supplier reimbursements.

· Monitor open claim balances and aged inventory.

· Ensure all recovered material and financial transactions are properly recorded.

· Support financial accuracy by validating claim-related transactions.

Material Disposition & Salvage Management

· Evaluate and coordinate material disposition decisions.

· Manage salvage sale activities and ensure compliance with internal procedures.

· Verify that material selected for resale is not associated with open claims.

· Coordinate material pickups, invoices, and sales documentation.

Customer and Supplier Support

· Serve as primary contact for claim-related activities.

· Conduct customer, supplier, processor, and warehouse visits as required.

· Facilitate communication among stakeholders to expedite issue resolution.

· Build and maintain effective business relationships.

Reporting and Continuous Improvement

· Generate monthly QA scorecards and claims performance reports.

· Analyze trends related to claims, recoveries, inventory aging, and material disposition.

· Recommend corrective actions and process improvements.

· Support departmental initiatives focused on cost reduction and operational efficiency.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Data analysis and reporting.

• Documentation control.

• Inventory reconciliation.

• ERP systems experience (SAP preferred).

• Understanding of quality and claims processes.

• Basic financial analysis and cost recovery management.

OTHERS

· English: Intermediate to Advanced (written and verbal).
