Accounting Coordinator
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the organization’s financial information by managing and overseeing accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and complying with applicable accounting standards and principles. The position is responsible for preparing and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports, as well as for generating reliable financial information to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field. Specialization or graduate studies in accounting and finance are preferred.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in supervisory or managerial roles in accounting and finance, leading work teams. Verifiable experience in the accounting and financial management of multiple legal entities in Mexico and Latin America.
- Schedule availability: Full-time, with availability to work in person at corporate offices.
- Willingness to travel: Occasional, as needed by the business.
- English proficiency: Advanced, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and corporate settings.
- Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis, and macros).
- Experience with financial ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms will be considered equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the application of automated accounting systems and financial management tools.
- Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and US GAAP.
Up-to-date knowledge of applicable tax and regulatory legislation in Mexico.
- Experience in financial consolidation, budgeting, financial forecasting, profitability analysis, and internal control.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and generate analyses that support strategic decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support the evaluation of potential contracts, business opportunities, and strategic decision-making.
- Manage and oversee the accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring the timely collection of balances and proper credit risk management.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and revenue projection processes for Mexico and Latin America, coordinating inputs from the Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service departments.
- Monitor the financial performance of contracts, ensuring timely billing in accordance with contractual milestones and established payment terms.
- Develop and manage cash flow projections to ensure adequate financial planning and operational liquidity.
