Title: System Engineer – Azure Admin, Cloud & M365

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico

Duration: Fulltime

Overview:

The System Engineer – Azure Admin, Cloud & M365 is a broad multi-cloud and productivity platform role spanning Microsoft 365 services, the AWS footprint supporting Kanpak, the Azure estate, and enterprise patching operations across both cloud and on-premise compute. The role combines platform administration with policy definition, image management and patch compliance.

Two positions are being established in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365

- Configuration, management and operations of M365 products and services, including Exchange Online, Teams and CoPilot.

AWS (KanPak — 12–15 production VMs)

- Configuration, management and operations of the AWS environment supporting KanPak, covering domain controllers, application servers, web servers and SQL servers.
- Management of the wider AWS footprint, predominantly AWS services including Route 53.

Azure

- Management of the Azure footprint, including SQL Server used for Dynamics 365 reporting.

Platform Operations & Patching

- Creation of server images.
- Policy definition and configuration.
- Patching operations using Ninja and SCCM — application patching via Ninja, base OS patching via SCCM.
- Management of on-premise Windows compute infrastructure.




- Management of Linux environments running Boomi.

Environment & Engagement Context

- There is currently no single-pane monitoring dashboard across the estate.
- LogicMonitor is not integrated with the cloud footprint; email and text alerting is in place.
- THE CLIENT wants to move away from SCCM. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to that transition, likely toward Intune and Ninja as the primary patching and endpoint management tooling.
- Scope boundary: the Client Services team retains responsibility for packaging, imaging, scan guns, iPads, loaner devices and Windows 11 updates. This role does not own end-user device support.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5–8 years of experience in cloud and Microsoft platform administration, with genuine hands-on exposure to both Azure and AWS.
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills across Exchange Online and Teams, including tenant configuration, policy management and service health troubleshooting.
- Working experience with Microsoft Entra ID: identity configuration, conditional access, application registration and hybrid identity.
- Practical AWS administration experience covering EC2, VPC networking, Route 53 and RDS or self-managed SQL on EC2.
- Azure administration experience including IaaS, Azure SQL and resource governance.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise patch management using SCCM and a modern alternative such as NinjaOne or Intune.
- Experience building and maintaining standardised server images.
- Windows Server administration at an expert level, plus working Linux administration capability.
- Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation of provisioning, patching and reporting.




- Professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience migrating from SCCM to Intune in an enterprise environment.
- Exposure to Microsoft CoPilot deployment, licensing and governance.
- Familiarity with Boomi as an integration platform, or comparable iPaaS tooling on Linux.
- Experience with monitoring platform consolidation and integrating cloud telemetry into a single dashboard.
- Exposure to Dynamics 365 reporting architecture.
- Infrastructure-as-code capability (Terraform, ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation).

Education & Certifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) (desirable).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Endpoint Administrator Associate (desirable).
- WS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect Associate (desirable).
