Mexico’s tense relationship with Washington has raised questions about whether a popular leftist government can capitalize on a potential “nearshoring” boom and turn the corner on long-running security struggles.

This role requires a newsroom leader who will set editorial ambitions on these and other stories while managing a team of beat reporters in Mexico City, where the job is based, and a network of stringers across Central America and the Caribbean.
