We are seeking a strong HR leader who can combine business vision, people leadership and solid labor relations expertise, acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Plant Manager and the Leadership Team of the Plant on people and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR function for a manufacturing operation with 900+ employees.
- Advise and coach the Plant Manager and leadership team on people and organizational decisions.
- Lead labor and union relations, including CBA and salary negotiations.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the CTM and union representatives.
- Lead Recruitment, Training, Organizational Development, Communications, Compensation, Time Management and Employee Services.
- Develop HR strategies aligned with plant and business objectives.
- Manage HR and labor-cost budgets and key HR indicators.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican labor regulations, STPS requirements and NOM-035.
- Lead employee engagement, development and organizational climate initiatives.
- Support organizational restructuring when required.
- Ensure accurate time management, compensation and benefits administration.
Requirements
Required Profile
✅ 6+ years as HR Manager within a Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing company
✅
Experience in plants with 900+ employees
✅ Strong experience in labor and union relations
✅ Proven experience negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements and salary reviews
✅ Excellent relationship and experience working with CTM
✅ Strong business mindset combined with a genuine people focus
✅
Experience acting as advisor and coach to Plant Manager, and the Leadership Team of the Plant.
✅
Experience leading HR teams (at least 4 direct and 6 indirect reports)
✅ Advanced English
✅ Strong knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law
✅
Experience with SAP SuccessFactors
✅
Experience supporting and leading SuccessFactors implementation for Mexico
✅ Knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 14001 / ISO 45001, STPS and NOM-035
✅
Experience In Plant Restructuring When Required.
✅
Experience reporting directly to the plant manager and a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP of Human Resources

- Experience in plant restructuring
- SAP HCM knowledge
- German language
- Experience developing HR peers in other countries
