About the RoleThis role will be hands-on in all things email marketing, developing segmentation & flow logic, analyzing performance metrics, monitoring deliverability, and will be responsible for managing expectations with clients as well as internal teams. This role is a dual role where you are leading strategy and/or leading production on some client accounts depending on your past experience and the current business need.
As the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Specialist, you’ll be acting in a dual role of Strategist and Production Specialist for small to midsize Lifecycle Marketing clients.
What you’ll be responsible for when acting as Strategist:
- You’ll be overseeing the strategy for multiple clients in the beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle industries. This includes strategies for email, SMS, loyalty programs, pop-ups, etc.
- You’ll be responsible for each of your client’s email & SMS program’s health and be accountable for revenue & engagement growth strategies, monitoring key KPIs such as conversion & engagement rates regularly to strategically recommend optimizations.
- Overall account management is a core function of this role, including project management of strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are provided on time, managing the scope of work for your clients, and ensuring overall client happiness.
You will work closely with a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist and be accountable for supervising their deliverables and performance for shared clients.
- You’ll be responsible for each of your client’s email & SMS program’s health and be accountable for revenue & engagement growth strategies, monitoring key KPIs such as conversion & engagement rates regularly to strategically recommend optimizations.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting tasks, pulling data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations.
- You’ll be hands-on in the ESP to build automated workflows (drip campaigns), QA their logic, build segmentation, etc.
What you’ll be responsible for when acting as Specialist:
- On a monthly basis, you will be responsible for leading the workflow management of email production for our clients and be responsible for meeting deadlines, and holding clients accountable to timelines.
- Overall account management is a core function of this role, including project management of strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are provided on time, managing the scope of work for your clients, and ensuring overall client happiness.
- You’ll be hands-on in the ESP to build automated workflows (drip campaigns), QA their logic, build segmentation, etc.
- You’ll coordinate with the design team to make sure the email campaigns are being executed based on the email briefs you develop, and timelines are met for each campaign.
- You’ll be a go-to team member for mentoring specialists on client relationship building and technical skills.
What We're Looking For 5 to 7 years of experience building, executing, and leading lifecycle and retention marketing programs for DTC ecommerce brands.
Expert-level, hands-on experience building and setting up lifecycle marketing programs in Klaviyo, including emails, flows, segments, and campaigns.
Agency experience managing multiple client accounts is required.
Experience developing lifecycle marketing strategies across email, SMS, CRM, customer journeys, segmentation, automation, personalization, and loyalty programs is a plus.
Experience working with Shopify or Shopify Plus ecommerce brands is a plus.
Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing analytics, reporting, A/B testing, experimentation, and optimization.
Proven ability to use marketing performance data to optimize lifecycle campaigns and flows and translate performance into strategic business recommendations.
Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and relationship management skills, including managing day-to-day client communication for lifecycle marketing work.
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Availability to work during EST or CST business hours.
A professional remote work setup that supports camera-on meetings, along with a clean and professional workspace and presentation for client-facing video meetings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise and high-growth ecommerce brands.
- Familiarity with additional marketing automation and CRM platforms.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Passion for ecommerce, customer experience, and retention marketing.
