Role Description The MES Senior Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mexico. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions that integrate shop-floor automation with enterprise-level systems. Day-to-day activities include analyzing production requirements, implementing MES functionalities, configuring interfaces with PLCs, SCADA, and other control systems, and performing system testing and validation.





The MES Senior Development Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional engineering teams and client stakeholders to translate process needs into robust software solutions, troubleshoot issues in live environments, and optimize system performance. The role also involves contributing to R&D; initiatives, documenting technical designs, and supporting continuous improvement of MES architecture and standards across projects.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Research and Development (R&D;) for industrial automation and MES solutions.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Development, including design, implementation, and maintenance of MES or related systems.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Programming, with experience in languages commonly used for MES and industrial integration (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, SQL, Python, scripting).
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Testing, including unit, integration, and system testing in production and industrial environments.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electronics, industrial control systems, PLCs, and interfaces with SCADA/HMI platforms.
- Relevant experience in manufacturing, Automotive, Food & Beverage Industries, process control, or Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 environments is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Ability to work remotely in Mexico and work on-site in Monterrey and Coahuila, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment.
