We are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join our Quality Department.

Location: Parque Polígono Industrial, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico

Position Objective The Metrology Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality through the proper definition of measurement methods, selection of appropriate equipment, and execution of dimensional inspections and testing required by customers. This role will also oversee analysis and decision-making processes within the Quality Laboratory, as well as manage the calibration program for measurement equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure the correct implementation of measurement systems and methods according to process requirements.
- Prepare, analyze, and present inspection and testing reports.
- Coordinate and maintain the calibration program for inspection and test equipment.
- Review dimensional requirements for new products, product transfers, and process changes.
- Develop, revise, and maintain Metrology Laboratory procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Provide support during internal, external,



and certification audits.
- Train personnel on measurement systems, blueprint reading, calibration practices, and the use of manual and automated measurement equipment.
- Support APQP activities and validate test reports.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Metrology Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Metrology Engineer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Rev. D, ISO 10012, NOM-008-SCFI-2002, Core Tools, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience using precision measurement instruments and metrology equipment.
- Preferred experience with Keyence systems, Profilometers, Round Testers, CMMs, Hardness Testers, and Digital Comparators.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, preferably at an advanced level.
- Experience with Minitab and equipment management software such as GageTrak is preferred.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Knowledge of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, attention to detail, and results-oriented approach.
