Overview
We are seeking a QC Technician, Digital Asset Management to perform quality assurance / quality control checks across client ecosystem marketing and creative assets. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, compliance, and usability of digital assets throughout their lifecycle, from ingestion and metadata assignment through distribution, archival, and reuse. The QC Technician will implement and enforce quality control frameworks, audit processes, metadata standards, and operational workflows that support efficient content management at scale. Working closely with production, creative, marketing, technology, and asset management teams, this individual will ensure assets are accurately cataloged, compliant with governance standards, and readily accessible for activation across channels and markets.
This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented independent contributor with a strong understanding of QC workflow and enforcement, DAM systems, metadata governance, content operations, and quality assurance methodologies.
Responsibilities
Asset Quality Assurance & Governance
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards for all assets within the DAM environment.
- Perform QC validation checks across creative and marketing assets – including video, static image, audio, and other formats.
- Establish validation procedures to ensure assets meet metadata, taxonomy, naming convention, rights management, and governance requirements.
- Perform regular audits of asset libraries to identify inconsistencies, errors, duplicate content, and compliance risks.
- Monitor asset quality metrics and implement corrective actions to improve overall repository health.
- Ensure adherence to established asset lifecycle policies, including version control, archival, expiration, and rights management.
Metadata & Taxonomy Quality Management
- Partner with DAM operations and governance stakeholders to maintain metadata standards and controlled vocabularies.
- Evaluate asset records for metadata completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvementsrelated to taxonomy structure, searchability, and asset discoverability.
- Monitor data quality trends and establish reporting mechanisms to track performance against quality objectives.
Workflow & Process Excellence
- Build and maintain quality control checkpoints throughout asset ingestion, tagging, publishing, and distribution workflows.
- Is responsive and responsible – able to work independently, escalate issues and concerns, and quickly and proactively attend to all work and responsibilities as assigned.
- Review operational processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, automation, and error reduction.
- Collaborate with technology and platform teams to improve workflows, validation rules, and DAM system functionality, including development of and improvements to any automation integrated in the pipeline.
- Develop standard operating procedures, documentation, and governance guidelines that support consistent execution across teams.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure assets comply with intellectual property, licensing, usage rights, privacy, and retention requirements – specific to the client brand, and in addition to regional requirements.
- Partner with legal, production, client, and operations stakeholders to address compliance concerns and governance issues, and identify and mitigate operational risks related to asset management and content distribution.
- Support audit readiness and documentation requirements as needed.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Report on KPIs related to asset quality, metadata accuracy, audit findings, SLA adherence, and workflow effectiveness.
- Deliver recurring quality reports and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Analyze trends and root causes of quality issues to drive long-term improvements.
LOCATION & COMMITMENTS
- Full-time role, currently hybrid status
- In-person/in-office minimum of 4 days per week
- Travel may be required to deliver on client and production needs
Qualifications
Required
- 3-5+ years of experience in Digital Asset Management, QC/QA, content operations, library services, production operations, quality assurance, or related disciplines.
- Strong Proficiency in the following applications: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Ilustrator, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Strong understanding of file formats, including video codecs, resolutions, and frame rates.
- Experience working with enterprise DAM platforms such as Tenovos, Adobe Experience Manager, OpenText, Sitecore, Bynder, Brandfolder, or similar solutions.
- Strong understanding of metadata governance, taxonomy development, digital asset lifecycle management, and content operations workflows.
- Experience conducting audits, quality reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing offshore, distributed, or vendor-supported operational teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting large-scale, high-volume, and quick turnaround of creative production, marketing operations, or content supply chain environments.
- Experience implementing DAM governance frameworks or quality programs.
- Understanding of digital rights management and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Certification or training in quality management, process improvement, DAM, or information governance disciplines.
