Position Overview

Everforth Apex Systems Mexico is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a growing data platform team focused on building scalable and repeatable source-system ingestion capabilities. This role plays a critical part in accelerating data onboarding efforts by developing robust ingestion frameworks, implementing best practices, and ensuring operational excellence across the data pipeline lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work within an agile environment, collaborating closely with engineering leadership, product management, and client-side technical teams. The position requires strong hands-on expertise in cloud-native data engineering, automation, CI/CD, and data platform operations, with a focus on delivering reliable ingestion pipelines into a modern Snowflake-based ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Platform Development

- Design, build, and support source-system ingestion pipelines into the enterprise data platform.
- Develop and extend reusable ingestion frameworks and onboarding patterns to improve delivery velocity.
- Create scalable data ingestion solutions leveraging AWS, Python, SQL, Snowflake, and Terraform.
- Reverse engineer source systems and leverage available metadata to accelerate onboarding efforts.

Data Quality & Operational Excellence
- Implement data quality controls, validation processes, and monitoring solutions.
- Establish alerting and operational visibility mechanisms to ensure ingestion health and reliability.




- Perform troubleshooting, break/fix support, and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Ensure ingestion stability throughout the Bronze ("_source") layer of the platform.

DevOps & Automation
- Support CI/CD processes across development, staging, and production environments.
- Implement automated testing strategies for ingestion pipelines and frameworks.
- Integrate solutions with existing DataDevOps processes and standards.
- Use GitHub, Copilot, and AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity.

Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, data models, and engineering standards.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and delivery commitments within a two-week sprint cadence.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with platform objectives.
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies with transparency and professionalism.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or related disciplines.
- Strong hands-on experience with:

-AWS -Snowflake

-Python

-SQL

-Terraform

- Experience developing enterprise-scale ETL/ELT and data ingestion pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native data architectures and platform engineering principles.
- Experience implementing CI/CD processes in data engineering environments.
- Knowledge of automated testing strategies for data pipelines.
- Experience with Git-based source control and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support experience.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile/Scrum environments and meet sprint commitments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
