The Social & Environmental Co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that energy development projects comply with all applicable environmental and social regulations. This professional oversees impact assessments, the implementation of mitigation plans, and the management of relationships with local communities and external consultants, ensuring the sustainability and social and environmental acceptance of the projects.

The role will be based in Cubico’s Mexican office in Mexico City.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Previous experience in environmental and social management within development projects, preferably in the energy sector.
- Experience conducting and supervising environmental and social impact assessments and implementing mitigation plans.
- Strong knowledge of local and international environmental and social regulations.
- Experience managing community relations and resolving conflicts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.





- Conduct Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (MIA/EVIS) to identify and evaluate the potential impacts of energy projects.
- Coordinate with consultants and experts to prepare technical reports and specialized studies.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of relevant environmental and social data.
- Supervise the implementation of corrective measures and compensation programs.
- Conduct audits and continuously monitor compliance with environmental and social policies and plans, in coordination with external consultants.
- Organize and lead public consultations, community meetings, and participatory workshops.
- Manage conflict resolution and address concerns raised by affected communities.
- Ensure that projects comply with all applicable local, national, and international environmental and social regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and submit the documentation required to obtain permits and licenses.
- Document the activities and outcomes of mitigation and management programs.
