i-Call International is seeking Spanish Consecutive Medical Interpreters to work remotely. The primary responsibility is to facilitate accurate and professional communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers in real time (phone and video interpretation).

Key Responsibilities

Medical Interpretation

- Accurately interpret conversations between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare professionals
- Translate medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and instructions in real time
- Support communication between doctors, nurses, and patients

Cultural Mediation

- Assist patients in understanding healthcare systems and procedures
- Support healthcare providers in understanding cultural differences affecting patient care

Confidentiality & Ethics

- Maintain strict patient confidentiality at all times
- Follow professional interpretation ethics and standards

Documentation

- Record interpretation details including date, time, duration, and type of service

Professional Development

- Stay updated with medical terminology and healthcare practices
- Continuously improve interpretation accuracy and performance

Qualifications

- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Experience in medical interpretation or translation
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in live interpretation settings
- Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity

Technical Requirements

- Minimum internet speed: 15 Mbps upload & download




- USB headset (mandatory)
- PC/Laptop with at least 8GB RAM (5th generation or higher)
- Ethernet (LAN) connection required
- HD webcam

Work Schedule

- Hourly shift-based program (EST Time Zone)
- Shift timings will be communicated before training

Training Program

- Mandatory paid training program
- Duration: 80 hours over 10 business days
- Start date: 13th July 2026
- Training is paid at full hourly rate ($5/hour)
- Training payment applies upon successful completion and passing assessment
- Final assessment conducted via LanguageStat
- Upon successful completion, system access credentials will be provided
- IT team will provide full platform training and support

Terms & Conditions

- Independent Contractor role
- Work conducted via phone and video interpretation platform
- Payment processed monthly via Payoneer only
- No leave allowed during the first month except emergencies (with prior approval)
- Attendance and QA-based bonuses available
- Must comply with shift schedule assigned in EST timezone
- Must pass training and assessment before starting live work
