Amentum is seeking aCrane Operator/Rigger Foremanto support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The Crane Operator/Rigger Foreman will be responsible for overseeing crane operations and supervising rigging activities while ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable safety, operations, and mission requirements. This position provides technical leadership and oversight to crane operators and rigging personnel and is responsible for ensuring proper lifting, rigging, inspection, and crane operating procedures are followed.

Job Responsibilities:




- Operate cranes in a safe and professional manner in accordance with NAVFAC P-307 and other standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Supervise, lead, and provide direction to rigging personnel during crane and lifting operations.
- Ensure all rigging activities are performed in compliance with NAVFAC P-307 guidelines and established safety requirements.
- Provide training, coaching, and oversight to riggers and other assigned personnel as required.
- Train and familiarize rigging personnel with proper crane hand signals and communication procedures as specified by NAVFAC P-307.
- Ensure effective communication between crane operators, riggers, signal persons, supervisors, and other personnel involved in lifting operations.
- Inspect rigging tools, slings, hardware, lifting devices, and related equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and meet applicable operational and safety standards.
