Amentum is seeking an HVAC Master Technician to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. TheHVAC Master Technician, designated as key personnel, will perform and support inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems, ensuring optimal system performance and operation.
Job Responsibilities
- Performing maintenance and repair ofchilled water and Direct Expansion (DX) type centralized air conditioning plant equipment.
- Supporting Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Constant Volume type air distribution systems with capacities of100 tons or greater.
- Conducting inspections, fault diagnosis,



testing, and preventive maintenance for HVAC systems.
- Performing troubleshooting and implementing repairs to ensure the effective and safe operation of HVAC systems in compliance with established guidelines and standards.
- Assisting with planning and scheduling maintenance activities for HVAC systems.
- Documenting inspections, test results, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Supervising and providing technical guidance to team members as needed, ensuring work is performed efficiently and safely.
- Ensuring adherence to environmental safety regulations and safe refrigerant handling practices.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
