- Underwriting and managing an existing book of Marine Reinsurance risks and developing and underwriting a pipeline of new business opportunities across LAC
- Managing a team of underwriting professionals
- Collaborating with peers in other regions and providing technical underwriting support on existing accounts in those regions, ensuring a consistent approach to market throughout the region.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients
- Communicating our value proposition with our brokers and clients and demonstrating our right to win
- Identifying future industry trends, understand how they will impact ours our client's business and developing new strategies around those trends
- Communicating to internal stakeholders on the profitable of the portfolio




- Providing superior customer service to brokers and clients.
- Attend client/broker meetings, presentations and relevant industry events on behalf of the company.
- Participating in special underwriting projects as needed. What you will need to succeed:
- Experience in the marine insurance or Reinsurance market
- Advanced working knowledge of Marine business including product features, forms, regulatory environments and risks etc.
- Ability to rapidly evaluate, prioritize and select submissions to be underwritten.
- Ability to analyze policy wordings
- Demonstrated knowledge of current market conditions, trends and the ability to leverage that knowledge to give us right to win
- Relationships with tier 1 and 2 brokers and the ability to develop new relationships
- Demonstrated sales, marketing, and relationship building experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work in a fast-paced enviro
