We are seeking an experienced Lead Senior Accountant to join a growing organization operating in the real estate and senior living industries.

This role is idóneo for a strong accounting professional who combines hands-on general ledger and financial reporting experience with an audit and controls mindset. The Lead Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and review of accounting activity across multiple entities.

In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this position will help identify accounting discrepancies, evaluate processes and internal controls, support audit readiness, and ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and properly supported.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities across multiple entities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Review general ledger activity and investigate unusual transactions, discrepancies,



or unexplained variances.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and trial balances.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, fixed assets, liabilities, equity, payroll, and other key accounts.
- Prepare variance analysis and provide clear explanations of actual versus budget results.
- Reconcile financial information between accounting, payroll, banking, operational, and other systems.
- Review accounting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate support.
- Identify accounting errors, control gaps, and process weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Help develop, document, and improve accounting procedures and internal controls.
