The position requires spending up to 80% of the time in the field, performing hands on work on outdoor trials.
This role will cover Guanajuato, Cuidad de Mexico, Jalisco and Michoacan
Increase network of growers where to place R&D; trials
Preparation of grower agreement.
Actively execute all components of the R&D; field trial plan, sowing, planting, marking plant.
Execute seedling delivery and logistic with external nursery
Execute germination counting and reporting
Prepare labels for planting and leaf sampling
Execute PCR test for leaf sampling
Follow up visit and regularly update project manager.
Carry out evaluation (quantitative and qualitative data collections) of trials for tomato, pepper, cucumber, onions... within external growers
Actively steer on field trial success and quality data, monitor and report on progress.
Organize and attend breeders' visits.
Interact with nurseries, growers, seed dealers and laboratories.
Support PD activities if needed by close collaboration with Hazera Mexico PD and sales team
Implement high phytosanitary performance according to company and country regulations
Assuring safe work conditions and execution
What we expect of you
At least 2 to 3 years' experience in GH and/or open field production
Proven knowledge of field trials operations.
Organizational ability
Work independently
Proactiveness, and autonomy in agenda/travel planning.
Detail oriented
Willingness to travel and work under variable environmental conditions.
Flexible working hours during growing seasons
Expertise in MS Office; strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Intermediate level of English – reading, writing, speaking
