We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team through MezTal, supporting a U.S.-based client in the senior living and healthcare industry .

The idóneo candidate will bring strong experience in U.S. GAAP, full-cycle accounting, and financial reporting , along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, service-oriented environment .

Key Responsibilities Manage general ledger activities , including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end close processes , ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP .
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes , providing financial insights to stakeholders.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures .
Support audit processes , including preparation of schedules and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Finance .
Handle multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments (preferred).
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation .
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field .
4+ years of accounting experience , preferably in a senior or advanced role.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual accounting.
Experience with month-end close and financial reporting .
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups,



data analysis).
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Advanced English (professional working proficiency) .
Preferred Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or senior living industries .
Exposure to multi-entity or consolidated financial environments .
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Yardi, NetSuite, or similar).
Experience supporting audits or working with external auditors.
