Participate with the entire Stamping Plant Team to carry out quality improvement plans for all panels; ensuring compliance with quality and delivery indicators. Participating in development plans to ensure a robust formability process to avoid quality issues and analyze the root cause of process quality problems in all lines and define responsibility. Make the necessary improvements according to the dimensional results of the panels.

Requirements

1 Strategic %

a.- Participate with the die shop area to make quality improvement plans for all parts. 50.00

b.- Keeps all the KPI related to the metrology and updates the information.

c.- Makes improvements as needed according to the dimensional results.

2 Operational

a.- Measures the parts with the CMM and tracks results. 25.00

b.- Attends all the calls or claims from the BIW area and tracks the improvement actions and any claim from the production lines related to steel/aluminum defects

c.- Controls and tracks the steel/aluminum parameters and demands actions when not in target , controls the Lab results.

3 Resource Management

a.- Develop plans and coaching to his team to assure a robust formability process to avoid die formability issues. 25.00

b.- Maintains the Checking fixtures status, CN level updated, R & R and other certifications required.

b.- Tracks the front and tail of the coils charges to the steel supplier

Other Functions

- Scans the parts, dies and components as required and tracks results by using the ATOS system.
- Measures the parts with the ARGUS system to maintain the FLD numbers on track.
- Makes presentations related to theCp, Cpk and all the measurements related to his responsibility.
- Monitors the SPIR results and takes actions according to the variations.
- Keeps the CMM certified, tracks any issue.
- Keeps all parts measured as well as provides any template required.




- To interact with steel/aluminum supplier to ensure that the steel properties arewithin the appropriate ranges for adequate draw process.
- Supports the CPA audits and coordinates the improvements according to the findings.
- Takes care of all the steel/aluminum suppliers claims when apply.
- Coordinates the steel supplier support during quality issues, splits, necking, and the root cause analysis.

Coordinates any campaign required in the internal customer areas, and provides clean points.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience: (Time/Type)

5 years of experience in the automotive manufacturing process, particularly in the painting process in the production and quality areas.
