Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics.We're currently looking for an Industrial / Ergonomic Engineer to join our growing team of engineering and ergonomics professionals.Details about the role are as follows:Successful candidates will have the following attributesKnowledge of ergonomic risk assessments: NIOSH, Liberty Mutual, Rodgers/Kodak, Strain Index, AAMA Metabolic, RULA, REBA, Anthropometric tables and other Ergonomic toolsExperience applying industrial ergonomicsThe ability to report project status accurately and in timely fashion to manager level managementStrong Negotiation skills to drive timing targetsWorking under pressure and time availabilityTeamwork, proactive, with sense of urgency & customer service attitude to drive customer satisfaction (internal & external)Strong communication skills to interact with different level of members within the organizationOrganizational and planning skillsExperience in the manufacturing environmentKnowledge on Ergonomic simulation software (Jack)RESPONSIBILITIESSupport different teams in the evaluation of existing/future workstation regarding ergonomic risksEvaluate Workstations/Operations based on Ergonomic Risks AssessmentsRecommend corrective actions, and lead teams to completion as neededMeet Program Deliverables on time and scheduleProvide regular (daily, weekly, etc.) Tracking Status to the designated Team LeaderAttend designated meetings to provide status reportsAccomplish the department objectives addressed by the client using problem solving techniquesCapture and register for all tryouts, runoffs, and quality impacts for the project implementations and engineering updates/upgradesManage within master timing charts,
with corrective actions and recovery plans identified where neededSupport and follow up of open issuesDesign of new workstationsCreation and edition of operator instructions sheetsEvaluate workstations based on safety riskEvaluate workstations based on quality requirementsCreation and edition of time study workstations to meet the workloadEdition of process sheets for the process (elements, parts, tools, and variation codes)Allocation of process sheets through workstations/operationsAccomplish the department objectives addressed by the client usingproblem solving technique.Accomplish the department objectives addressed by the client usingproblem solving technique.Conduct physical demands analyses, ergonomic risk analyses on single jobs, production lines, or entire plantsPerform ergonomic assessments using standard ergonomic analysis tools and/or using Digital Human Modeling softwareand complete detailed technical reportsProvide assembly plant ergonomic support to identify and prioritize ergonomic risks, conduct ergonomic risk assessments and provide recommendations on elimination of risk.Perform virtual assessment of Ergonomic risk utilizing such software systems as Teamcenter, Process Simulate, and/or Jack, and provide recommendations for improvementsDevelop ergonomic specifications and standards through literature review, research, and ergonomic analysisB.
S. or M. S. in Kinesiology, Industrial Engineering, Human Factors, Occupational Biomechanics, Ergonomics or a related disciplineAssociate Ergonomics Professional (AEP), Associate Ergonomist (AE) certification, or Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) is an assetMinimum of +2 years of industrial ergonomics or a passion to learn and grow in the industryExperience in applying ergo industriesFluent- written and spoken technical English languageAdditional InformationEnvironment- Typical office and or manufacturing plant floor facilitiesMay be required to work outside of typical office hours to support client projectsAbility to work independently with little or limited supervisionHealth Care PlanPaid Time OffTraining & Development
