POSITION SUMMARYThe Mechanical Engineer supports new product development and product sustaining tasks.
The Mechanical Engineer acts as a technical resource between internal groups, such as marketing, product management, application engineering, customer technical support and manufacturing.
The Mechanical Engineer provides direct daily support to engineering groups by focusing on 3D Modeling, component design, prototype fabrication and other mechanical-related tasks.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and development for mechanical and/or electromechanical devices or structures, from concept to fully functional design in different project stagesCreate 3D models, assemblies, technical drawings/ documentationSupport prototype and testing activitiesCreation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings and sales literatureUnderstands the product, suggesting ideas and improvements back to groupProvides technical support to internal Vertiv functions - marketing, sales, application engineering,



customer technical support and service and manufacturing during the different stages of product developmentQUALIFICATIONS3 years of Product Development engineering experienceSheetmetal design/manufacture experienceApplied knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test methodsAbility to follow testing and instructional proceduresApplied knowledge of CAD Software, CREO Parametric preferredKnowledge in Model Based Definition (MDB) preferredTroubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and logically.Good planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Integral Development Teams.Ability to work independently and as part of a Team.Experience in HVAC Industry is a plusFluency in English (90%)PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSNo Special Physical RequirementsTIME TRAVEL REQUIRED15%#J-*****-Ljbffr
