Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do?
ResponsibilitiesYou will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results.Recommends solutions to problemsResponsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctionsMeets schedule and quality requirementsComplies with the terms of local and national labor agreementsImplements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practicesMaintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work groupResponsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipmentEstablishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project.Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or any related engineering field, or relevant experience.Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within maintenance or manufacturing environments (2–5 years preferred).
Intermediate level of English, with the ability to hold a technical conversation.Availability and flexibility to work rotating shifts (4x3 schedule).
Demonstrated leadership abilitiesProven experience leading work teamsExperience with CNC Machining, PLCs, and electrical systemKnowledge of FANUC and Siemens CNC controlsStrong teamwork skillsFamiliarity with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, and Siemens.Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of robotic cell configurations, automation systems, and basic robot programming or handling.Eligibility and Working ConditionsGeneral Motors is committed to being a workplace that is not only free of unlawful discrimination, but one that genuinely fosters inclusion and belonging.
