The Supervisor ensures that the FQI team provides quality support for sustaining operations by performing inspection and testing of da Vinci surgical products.
This role is important in verifying compliance with all established specifications and requirements prior to final product release.




The Supervisor also leads continuous improvement activities and other projects assigned by management.Establish, track and report FQI goals and quality metricsCoordinate and communicate within and across departments to address quality issuesTrack recurring issues as needed to achieve root cause corrective actionAssure all operations are performed in accordance to proceduresPerform periodic audits to verify correct and consistent operationsInterface on a daily basis with internal customers and teams to resolve nonconforming material issuesDrive on time inspections to support company objectives and deadlinesChampion improvements in inspection method efficiencies to drive down cost of inspection.
Provide metrics to management.Provide training for FQI techs to ensure consistency of inspection processEnsure training records are up to date and all training is completed on timePerform personnel activities such as annual reviews and mentoringTrack headcount, interview candidates, and perform budget planningAnalyze forecast and determine capacity requirementsEnsure equipment and tools are available and in compliance with PMC due datesCoordinate PMC activities with the PMC departmentSupport internal and external audits as necessaryChampion 5S methodologies,



lean practices and continuous improvement in everyday activitiesOther duties as assignedDrive our Culture Strategy by fostering our mission, founding principles, individual and leadership expectations.QualificationsSkills, Experience, Education, & Training:3 years of experience in the positionExcellent communication skills including ability to provide written and verbal instructionAbility to work across team organizations and diverse culturesAble to communicate clearly and effectively up, down and across organizationsMust be able to use all standard inspection tools, gauges and applicable equipment, tools and fixtures used to execute quality assurance procedures and test methodsProven experience and knowledge of ISI Quality ProceduresProficient in use of personal computers as part of daily work, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and SAP.
Ability to use E-mail and the ACCS (Agile) system to retrieve and submit on-line documentation.Ability to work varying shifts.
Must have ability to complete training courses.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to use clocks, timers, calipers, rulers, and other test equipment as required.
Meticulous attention to detail and orderly habits are required to accurately and completely document inspection/testing.Flexibility, willingness to learn new tasks, ability to take‐on a variety of responsibilities big and small, and the need to fill-in for others when needed are highly preferred attributes for this position.
