The position owns the support and provision of all aspects of Product Engineering, dedicated to cable assembly new product development as sustaining engineering and leading a team of 2 to 3 product engineers.Job RequirementsDevelop new products and to adjust existing productsGather all relevant data, review in order to understand and determine the requirements and ensure completeness, apply this into a package of demands for the desired productDo feasibility studies (costs, product technically, material technically, applicability)Decide about the technical realizationChoose product designs, complying with internal rules according specification and purposePrepare sketches and drawings accordinglyDraw up product specifications and bill of materials accuratelyTake responsibility for design validity and release of a design or alterations in the designPerform possible problem analyses, tests and trials,



implement tests and trials where necessaryFollow up and report on development progressOther Duties And Interfaces With Internal DisciplinesCross discipline product related advise and assistance for resolution of production concerns related to Product Engineering issuesInternal production concern response including deviation / concession approvalDiscuss work implementation and problems with other involved partiesSupport engineers with test and trial results and analysis, advise on packaging and possible alternatives and product specifications;Provide technical consultancy and advise on assigned products for internal and external partiesCustomer liaison at all levels on Product Engineering related enquiriesVendor liaison at all levels as requiredDispose sample productionWhat Your Background Should Look LikeEducational DegreeMust have minimum an academic engineering degree or similarProfessional Experience 5 (years In What Processes And Function)Several years on the job experience in Product Design and Manufacturing EngineeringDistinct work practice with testing devicesFully acquainted with CAD systems and if necessary production toolsProduct validation and testing specification requirementsShould have materials selection expertiseFully acquainted with the computer and common software, including engineering softwareSpecial Qualifications, Knowledge & SkillsAbility to work independentlyThe Product Engineer must possess the maturity, technical competence and natural authority to look after technical interests with minimal supervisionDemonstrated behaviours and values at or above TE standardEnglish language skillsFully acquainted with the computer and common softwareCompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
