Cloud Engineer – Azure & Terraform

Location: Remote within Mexico

Salary: $95,000 MXN gross per month

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Terraform, and infrastructure automation. This position will be responsible for provisioning, maintaining, and securing Azure services through Infrastructure as Code while collaborating with multiple teams in a multi-vendor environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provision and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
- Author, test, and maintain reusable Terraform modules.
- Participate in peer reviews and automated infrastructure validation.
- Manage resources across Azure management groups, subscriptions, and resource groups.
- Configure Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, managed identities, and service principals.
- Provision and support Azure PaaS services, including App Service, AKS, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Storage Accounts, and Key Vault.
- Implement private endpoints and VNet-integrated connectivity for PaaS workloads.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Manage service connections and automated deployment processes.
- Apply cloud security controls and DevSecOps best practices.
- Collaborate with architecture, development, security, and operations teams.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.





Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in cloud engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience provisioning Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
- Proven Terraform expertise; this is a mandatory requirement.
- Experience authoring and maintaining Terraform modules in production environments.
- Knowledge of Azure Landing Zones and cloud governance.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Knowledge of Azure RBAC, Azure Policy, Key Vault, and identity management.
- Experience with Azure networking, VNets, private endpoints, and private connectivity.
- Strong written communication and the ability to collaborate across multiple workstreams and vendors.
- Professional English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience working in enterprise, multi-subscription, or multi-vendor environments.
- Microsoft Azure and/or HashiCorp Terraform certifications.
