The Cloud Support Engineer will be maintaining and providing continuous, ongoing support of the client’s shared cloud environments (AWS), data infrastructure and hosted virtual environments. This person will drive the evaluation of customer cloud environments and support customers with any DNS, IP, and firewall issues. The idóneo person for this role has deep understanding of design and operation of cloud/virtual infrastructure, databases, operating systems and application systems.

This role will be interacting with teams and customers throughout USA and Mexico (bilingual in English and Spanish required).

Responsibilities:

· Deliver administration, maintenance, and ongoing support of the shared cloud environment (AWS) while supporting the web interface used by customers to access their cloud environment.

· Build, configure, tune and implement automation for cloud lifecycle and operational improvement.

· Drive the evaluation, development, implementation, optimization, performance and configuration of customer cloud environments.

· Establish and maintain proficiency on emerging technologies through self-study and on-the-job training. Escalate issues and defects as necessary.

· Work directly with escalation teams (development, network, or engineering) until incidents are fully resolved.





· Provide routine communication with customers on progress, status, and root cause.

· Support customers with DNS, IP, and firewall issues regarding Cloud environment.

· Work directly with architects to help reproduce and resolve customer issues Knowledge of industry standards and standards organizations (e.g. ITIL, TOGAF, PMP) .

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

· 5+ years’ experience in design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise or cloud infrastructure, databases and application systems

· Strong understanding of virtualization within data infrastructure

· Previous OS and database administration experience is required

· Must possess solid networking experience and troubleshooting

· Passion for cloud software, tooling and automation; comfort with command line tools and scripting

· Understand of design principles around networking, storage, and servers

· Experience working with integration scripting technologies

· Must possess understanding of APIs

Preferred Requirements:

· Cloud (AWS) certifications are a plus – AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, etc.
