Role Description The Maintenance Mechanic role at SG GROUP is a full-time, remote position focused on supporting industrial equipment used in heavy hauling, rigging, and related operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing mechanical issues, and carrying out repairs on various machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The Maintenance

Mechanic will conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, document work performed,



and coordinate with operational teams to minimize downtime. The role also involves following company safety standards, interpreting technical manuals and schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Strong equipment maintenance skills, including Maintenance & Repair and Industrial Maintenance for machinery and related systems.
- Experience in Preventive Maintenance, with the ability to develop and follow maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures.
- Background in Corrective Maintenance, including troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and timely resolution of mechanical issues.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in industrial, construction, or rigging environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance documentation.
- Proficiency with basic hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments used in mechanical maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic, industrial technician, or similar role; vocational or technical training in mechanics or a related field preferred.
- Reliable internet access and readiness to coordinate remotely with teams across multiple locations.
