Ensure the importation of chemical products for domestic distribution, in compliance with the current regulatory framework, through efficient logistics focused on time and cost optimization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the importation of goods by sea and land for the Mexico Chemicals Division (vessels, containers, flexitanks, ISO tanks, rail, and tank trucks), ensuring timely and proper execution.
- Provide advice on foreign trade and regulatory matters, with comprehensive knowledge and expertise in INCOTERMS, both in their physical application and in the system.
- Coordinate the collection of documents from international suppliers and the payment of customs declarations required to ensure the importation of products (certificates of origin, invoices, B/Ls, customs declarations, etc.).
- Prepare purchase orders and calculate payments to foreign trade service providers (customs brokers, handling services, cancellations, storage/demurrage charges, and freight).
- Maintain electronic foreign trade files for record-keeping in accordance with the deadlines established by the Mexican Tax Code.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Foreign Trade.
- Intermediate/Advanced English.
- SAP knowledge.
