As a Design Engineer at Ware Malcomb, you will contribute to the delivery of building engineering solutions for a diverse range of clients.
You will assist with engineering design and analysis while supporting overall project delivery and client requirements.
Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications while continuing to develop your technical expertise.
You may also lead and coordinate portions of planning, organization, and integration activities within your area of responsibility.Your Role
Assist the Senior Engineer and serves as Engineer of Record (EOR) when assigned, planning project layouts and integrating engineering elements into unified designs for client review and approvalCoordinate with other disciplines and actively participates in internal and external project meetings to ensure alignment and resolve issuesPrepare and supervise the development of scaled drawings, specifications,



and contract documents for building contractors, ensuring compliance with standardsPerform engineering calculations using Excel or engineering softwarePerform construction administration duties, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and periodic on-site observations to monitor compliance with plansLead field work activities such as verification, assessments, and troubleshooting for projects and clientsReview calculation outputs from engineering software for accuracy and technical complianceSupport technical development initiatives and participate in resolving complex engineering design challengesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited programValid Cédula Competente in Electrical Engineering or related field required5+ years of experience in an electrical engineering roleProficiency in Revit requiredAbility to speak, understand and write in English is requiredRequires basic knowledge of financial terms and principlesAbility to calculate simple figures such as percentagesAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documentsAbility to solve problems involving several options in situationsRequires intermediate analytical and quantitative skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customersAbility to effectively present information
