I'm partnering with a leading Tier 1 Automotive Seating Supplier on a search for a Quality Manager at a trim facility running cut and sew operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the quality function across the cut and sew trim process - Managing and developing the quality team, from engineers to inspectors - Owning APQP, PPAP, and launch quality for new trim programs - Driving down defects, scrap, and rework across cutting, sewing, and assembly - Managing customer quality, escalations, and containment activity - Leading root cause and corrective action through 8D and problem solving tools - Maintaining IATF 16949 compliance and leading internal and customer audits - Partnering with operations and program teams to hit safety, quality, and delivery targets - Championing a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the floor
What we're looking for:
- Quality leadership experience in automotive manufacturing - Cut and sew, trim, textiles, or soft trim experience strongly preferred - Strong grounding in APQP, PPAP, PPM, and core tools - Experience managing customer quality and OEM relationships - IATF 16949 knowledge and audit experience - Strong root cause, 8D, and problem solving ability - Track record reducing defects and improving quality performance - Degree in engineering or a related technical field preferred
This is a Quality Manager role for someone who can lead the quality function, own launch and customer quality, and drive measurable improvement in a fast paced cut and sew trim environment.
