As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - SMA at our esteemed biotechnology organization, you will be an integral member of our medical affairs team, focusing on Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). This role is pivotal in advancing medical practice within the field of neuroscience and contributing to our mission of enhancing patient care. Build and maintain valued long‐term relationships with customers, developing scientific advocates for our neuroscience ambitions.
Stay abreast of therapy advances, current research, and detailed knowledge of Biogen products and relevant Disease Areas.
Collaborate compliantly with cross‐functional teams, particularly with the Commercial organization, while maintaining the non‐promotional nature of the role.
Contribute to brand planning processes using extensive knowledge of disease areas, competitive environments, and customer needs.
Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree (PharmD or PhD level desired).
At least two years of experience as a high‐specialty (rare diseases, neurological disorders, genetics)



MSL in the pharmaceutical industry is required OR strong history of study in neuromuscular diseases.
Ability to travel at least 60% of the time, including overnight and occasional weekend travel.
Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Experience in neuroscience and/or SMA therapeutic areas.
Strong strategic planning and insight generation skills.
Proficiency in English with fluent proficiency preferred.
