, we are looking for a
Trade Analyst / Foreign Trade Specialist
to join our
PC&L; team
in San Luis Potosí.
The main purpose of this position is to
coordinate and follow up on import and export operations
, ensuring compliance with applicable customs and regulatory requirements, as well as the proper execution of foreign trade processes.
This role will interact closely with
customs brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams
, contributing to the continuity of operations and the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and follow up on
import and export operations
.
Provide instructions and follow up with
carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
.
Review documentation required for
customs clearance
and ensure its proper integration.
Identify applicable regulations and requirements for foreign trade operations.
Provide daily follow-up and visibility on shipment status.
Identify, address, and follow up on situations that may cause
delays in import or export operations
.
Review, calculate, and manage the payment of
duties, taxes, and other foreign trade contributions
.
Analyze import and export information to prepare
metrics, reports, and KPIs
.
Verify the proper application of
tariff benefits derived from trade agreements
and applicable government programs.
Stay up to date on changes in
foreign trade legislation and regulations
.
Develop and update
procedures and work instructions
related to foreign trade operations.
Participate in
continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and process mapping
activities.
Collaborate with different areas to ensure compliance with foreign trade and logistics objectives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
International Trade, International Business,



International Relations
, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience
in international trade.
Experience in
import and export operations
.
Experience in
customs clearance and customs compliance
.
Knowledge of
Incoterms, customs valuation, and applicable legislation
.
Knowledge of
free trade agreements and foreign trade programs
.
Experience working with
customs brokers, carriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers
.
Proficiency in
Excel
for data analysis and reporting.
English proficiency sufficient to communicate with
customers, suppliers, and internal teams
.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the
automotive industry and/or manufacturing environments
.
Experience developing and updating
procedures and work instructions
.
Experience analyzing information, preparing reports, and tracking
KPIs
.
Experience with
ERP systems and/or foreign trade platforms
, such as SAP, General Trade XXI, or similar systems.
