Job Summary

The Caterpillar Drivetrain Team in Monterrey, Mexico, is seeking an entry-level engineer to serve as a Drivetrain Component Simulation Engineer. This individual contributor role supports the concept, design, and development of transmission systems and components using in-house and commercial simulation tools.

The engineer will work under the guidance of experienced design and mechatronics engineers to build technical capability and contribute to drivetrain simulation activities.

Responsibilities
- Support the design, development,



and validation of mechanical drivetrain hardware to ensure product requirements are achieved.
- Build, improve, and maintain simulation models in accordance with corporate modeling standards.
- Define test plans and validation conditions for components and systems.- Participate in design reviews to share results and incorporate feedback from process partners.

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or related from an accredited university.
- Advanced English-speaking level is required.

Technical and Analytical Skills:
- Intermediate working knowledge in drivetrain systems design, development, modeling, or simulation.
