Provide up-front manufacturing engineering for equipment, tools, and processes for Inteva's Interiors projects; this equipment and tooling will be primarily automated assembly and plastics joining applications. Responsibilities will include the design, project management, and implementation of this equipment at the plants' locations.
Position Requirements
Provide new equipment specifications and generate equipment statement of requirements.
Work closely with Inteva purchasing for its procurement.
Provide equipment and tooling cost estimates for new business quotations.
Provide design guidance for new products from a DFM standpoint.
Fully support the Product Development Teams through regular meeting attendance, personal interaction, commitment to deliverables, and support for team members.
Provide project management to ensure equipment and tools to be ready on time, within budget, meeting all quality standards, and meeting all pertinent safety standards .
Coordinate equipment installation at plant and support start-up and debug phase.
Competent ability with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Plex, Local Systems.
Assist in developing assembly and welding processes for new business
Assist Plants with continuous improvements
Create all required documentation for Equipment run-off including ergonomics, safety, spare parts, electrical and controls documentation.
Travel availability.
Education Requirement
BS Engineering or Associate Engineering degree with plant experience.
- Project and budget management experience.
- English advanced.
