Logistics Manager

Position Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehousing, inventory control, import/export activities, transportation coordination, and international logistics operations for the company's Distribution Center (DC). This role ensures inventory accuracy, on-time customer deliveries, efficient warehouse operations, and compliance with customs and international trade regulations.

The position manages approximately USD $3 million in inventory across two warehouse locations in Mexico and supports annual sales of USD $6-8 million.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree completed (preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, or related field).
- Fully bilingual (English and Spanish, written and verbal).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and international trade operations.
- Strong knowledge of customs processes and coordination with customs brokers.
- Experience managing domestic and international transportation (ground and ocean freight).
- Extensive warehouse management experience.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory management tools.
- Valid passport.
- Availability to travel domestically and internationally.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory Management
- Manage finished goods inventory across warehouse locations.
- Oversee receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory movements.
- Optimize warehouse utilization and storage capacity.




- Coordinate and supervise physical inventory counts and cycle counting processes.
- Maintain inventory accuracy at a minimum of 99.9%.
- Manage and supervise warehouse personnel (2 warehouse associates).
- Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures.

International Logistics & Trade Compliance
- Coordinate and monitor all import and export activities.
- Manage customs documentation and customs broker relationships.
- Maintain control of bonded/customs inventory located in Laredo, Texas.
- Coordinate ocean freight shipments from Europe, Asia, and Latin America into Mexico.
- Ensure compliance with international trade and customs regulations.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Supply Planning & Customer Service
- Support inventory planning and product replenishment activities.
- Place and follow up on purchase orders with intercompany manufacturing plants.
- Manage customer returns and rejected material processes.
- Coordinate product availability to meet customer demand.
- Maintain On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance of at least 98%.

Business Environment
- Distribution Center operation with 8 employees.
- Annual sales volume of approximately USD $6-8 million.
- Inventory responsibility of approximately USD $3 million.
- Management of warehouse operations in Monterrey and Veracruz.
- Direct interaction with suppliers, customers, customs brokers, and international logistics providers.
