Role SummaryAncillary Equipment scope: Electronics, Controls, and Instruments + Sealing and wear components + C-itemsYou are a category management expert with experience in at least one of the following subcategories: Electronics, Controls, and Instruments / Sealing and wear components / C-items; as well as knowing the industry like the back of your hand you are well versed in the global supplier base; ethics and integrity are central to your being, and you have great interpersonal skills.
As Category Manager you will be accountable for defining and executing category strategies to provide a high‐performing supply base delivering the competitive edge required to support above‐market growth and industry leadership.
As the Ancillary Equipment Category Manager, you will be closely collaborating with Supplier Performance, General Sourcing and Division Supply Chain to deliver cost reduction targets, ensure contractual coverage and supplier base optimisation.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop short‐ and long‐term vision and strategic plansLead the de‐risking of supply chain for managed categories by developing strategies or initiatives to qualify alternate sources and break sole or single source dependencies, addressing any geopolitical, financial,



and other risks as applicableEvaluate new technologies for the team to develop and innovate competitive productsEstablish competitive advantage through identification and generation of cost‐reduction strategiesEstablish and manage Master Supplier Agreements (MSA) for core strategic suppliersDevelop and deploy comprehensive best‐cost sourcing strategies with the help of sourcing and supplier‐manager teams across regionsSupplier negotiation, market analysis, and cross‐functional collaboration to optimise cost, quality, and supply chain resilienceCompetencies & SkillsCategory Management/Supply Chain Experience at Regional/Global Level of 8 to 10 yearsAppreciation in commercial and technical aspects of the named categoryStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWide cultural adaptability, change‐oriented, stress‐resistantAbility to work in a matrix and network organisational modelGood influencing capability and effective listening skillsPractice rather than preach mentalityThink global and act local mentalityStrong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperationSupply chain project management skills: NPI, VaVe, DtV, localisation, TCO evaluationGood understanding of latest technologies, market intelligence and trends in the industryExperience in procurement, sourcing or category management in at least one of the following industries or categoriesControls, actuators, electric components, instrumentationPCBA / electronics contract manufacturing and/or distributors, semiconductorsIoT, data centre componentsPreferencesBachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain,
