From a power unit systems perspective cCandidates will need to be confident with coordination of cross functional technical alignment on assumptions and sign off requirements.
This position requires an equal aptitude for both project management, delivery, and technical problem solving.
This job position includes ownership of eDrive unit systems engineering for future model designs and vehicles. From a power unit industrialization perspective this job includes managing milestone reviews/signoffs, developing timing plans, maintaining program financials, and supporting component/assembly releases in WERS.
This position will work closely with the eDrive systems engineers, eDrive component engineers, powertrain planning, and teams from electrified powertrain engineering.
This position would also cover build coordination of edrive power units for both internal testing and vehicle level testing. From a core perspective this position is for a Core Engineering Supervisor specifically working on ICE transmissions, hybrid transmissions, and eDrive units.
The supervisor will lead a team of engineers with key responsibilities of this position being handling the responsibilities around core documentation like design rule implementation, requirement follow through and FMA documentation.
This role will also include helping maintain rigor towards new designs by understanding previous failure modes and ensuring all lessons learned are incorporated into further designs.
These processes ensure that we are compliant to our design methods and requirements and also ensure we meet the design intent for our customers.POWER UNIT SYSTEMS/INDUSTRIALIZATION R&RSWork; with internal component D&R; engineers from both Underbody Systems Engineering and Electrified Powertrain Engineering to lead overall internal systems designSystems design rule assessmentsSystem cooling/lubrication designGVWR, VMAX, Torque limit, duty cycle and durability assessmentsRequirements cascade to component engineers,
