* Job purpose: Consolidate and analyze Day-Ahead dispatch results to assess forecast quality and diagnose model issues.
* Duties and responsibilities: -Take the tools and processes that currently exist in the post-processing stage of the ERCOT market and adapt them to the new electricity markets (as SPP).
-Apply changes over existing post-processing processes, whether by providing more manageable information, making the processes more efficient, or adopting approaches that better fit the needs of the business.
-Develop and implement process improvements that allow for comparing the dispatch model's inputs and outputs with those considered official by the corresponding entities.
-Work closely with members of the Day-Ahead Model team so that any updates to the model results are handled appropriately by the post-processing stage.




-Propose ideas for tools that help identify situations of interest in the dispatch model's results and determine their root cause.
-Compare model results to vigente market results; track causes of errors and propose improvements.
-Take charge of operations for the post-processing stage.
-Integrate data from different sources of information; this includes data cleaning, transformation, standardization, and even filtering of inconsistent data in order either to analyze it or use it as inputs for processes* Requirements: -BSc/MS in Physics, Applied Math, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
-3+ years of Python; 2+ years of Pandas and NumPy.Academic experience accepted.
-Able to read, understand, adapt, migrate, and improve existing Python processes.
-6+ months of SQL; PostgreSQL, Polars, NetworkX, visualization, and ML are a plus.
