OverviewUptalent.Io, a dynamic platform focused on connecting exceptional talent with innovative companies, is seeking a Remote Technology Designer specializing in Structured Cabling and Low Voltage Systems.ResponsibilitiesDesign and documentation of low voltage systems, including:- Structured cabling (voice/data networks)- Access control- Audio/visual (A/V)- CCTV / security systems- Wireless infrastructureCoordinate with architectural, electrical, and IT teams.Prepare drawings, specifications, and detailed layouts for low voltage systems.Ensure compliance with industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, NEC, etc.).
Review submittals and support construction administration when required.Qualifications- RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification preferred (not mandatory but highly valued).
- 5+ years of experience in technology systems design,
ideally for commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects.
- Experience in science and technology projects including cleanrooms, laboratories, specialized manufacturing facilities, and other spaces with distinct and highly specific requirements.
- Revit and Cad knowledge- Experience with U.S. projects and standards.
