About the engagement
Allari, an IT services firm, is running a NetSuite fit assessment for a mid-market consumer products company that sells through major retailers and Amazon. We are looking for a Value Consultant to build the total cost of ownership analysis and the business case behind the assessment's recommendation.
What you will do
You will turn NetSuite's licensing structure and the solution architect's sizing into a defensible, subscription-inclusive, multi-year cost model, benchmark it against the client's current on-premise ERP, and shape the result into an executive business case.
Responsibilities
Build a subscription-inclusive, multi-year NetSuite total cost of ownership model, covering the base platform, seats by type, modules, SuiteCloud Plus, sandbox, and connectors
Model implementation, integration, and ongoing operation costs, including run-rate and annual escalation
Build the comparison baseline for staying on the current ERP, on the same basis and time horizon
Identify and price automation and AI capabilities that carry additional licensing
Collect and normalize non-binding budgetary implementation estimates from qualified resources
Assemble an executive business case that supports the recommendation
Required experience
Experience in ERP value consulting or value engineering, or in ERP total-cost and business-case development
Working knowledge of NetSuite licensing and pricing structure: editions, user and seat types, modules, and options
Strong financial-modeling skills and the ability to build clear, defensible cost models
Ability to present a business case to executive stakeholders
Preferred
NetSuite value-engineering or pre-sales value-consulting background
Consumer products, retail, or wholesale-distribution experience
Experience comparing SaaS ERP against on-premise total cost
Engagement terms
Contract role, remote
Independent contractor, engaged directly by Allari
Competitive contract rate, commensurate with experience
