What you'll do
- Identifying, defining, and implementing integrated supply chain solutions and performance improvements, including building internal and external alliances to explore opportunities.
- Establishing effective linkages, partnerships, and best practices with business partners and internal functions.
- Investigating and incorporating industry benchmarks, metrics and best practices to develop optimal supply chains for suppliers and/or product sets.
- Developing and analyzing data and information to identify and prioritize opportunities for improving performance and creating more cost-effective supply chains, inventory utilization, and business partnerships.
- Coordinate material planning and procurement activities for New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring alignment with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the system.
- Manage the introduction of new part numbers, as well as material transition and phase-out activities for existing components.
- Track engineering releases and validate material availability throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Production Scheduling, Quality, and suppliers to ensure on-time material availability and delivery.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent disruptions.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained during product transitions and launch activities.
- Provide visibility of material status through regular reporting and cross-functional project review meetings.
- Lead material ramp-up and stabilization strategies to support successful new product launches.
