Position Summary

Sapon Immigration seeks a detail-oriented, full-time remote paralegal to support attorneys and the employment-based immigration team with permanent labor certification matters and related immigrant visa filings. This position will focus primarily on PERM cases, including prevailing wage requests, recruitment coordination, ETA Form 9089 preparation, audit-file maintenance, and I-140 petition preparation.

The adecuado candidate has at least two years of hands-on experience independently supporting PERM matters from initiation through filing and post-filing follow-up, including prevailing wage requests, recruitment coordination, ETA Form 9089 preparation, audit-file management, and related I-140 preparation. The candidate must be highly organized, comfortable managing multiple deadlines independently in a remote environment, and able to communicate professionally with employer representatives and foreign national clients.

Key Responsibilities

Assist attorneys with all stages of PERM labor certification matters, including case initiation, document collection, prevailing wage requests (ETA Form 9141), recruitment/advertising coordination, ETA Form 9089 preparation, and post-filing case tracking.

Prepare and file prevailing wage determination requests with the Department of Labor and review issued determinations for accuracy under attorney supervision.





Coordinate PERM recruitment steps, including job orders, newspaper advertisements, recruitment reports, notices of filing, and professional recruitment activities, while monitoring required timelines.

Prepare, organize, and maintain complete PERM audit files, including recruitment documentation, job descriptions, wage information, business-necessity materials, and employer supporting documents.

Assist with responses to PERM audits, Requests for Information (RFI), under attorney supervision.

Prepare and assemble I-140 immigrant petitions based on approved PERM applications, including experience-letter review, ability-to-pay documentation, and supporting exhibits.

Communicate professionally with employer representatives and foreign national clients regarding document requests, case status, deadlines, and procedural next steps.

Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized electronic case files and calendar all DOL, USCIS, and Department of State deadlines.

Conduct factual and entry-level legal research related to O*NET, Occupational Outlook Handbook classifications, prevailing wage data, DOL processing times, and agency filing requirements.

Support other employment-based matters as needed, including H-1B, TN, H-2A, H-2B, adjustment of status, and related filings.

Required Qualifications

At least two years of hands-on experience independently supporting PERM matters from initiation through certification.

Demonstrated experience with PERM labor certification cases, including recruitment, ETA Form 9141 prevailing wage requests, ETA Form 9089 preparation, or PERM audit-file management.

Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently in a remote work environment.

Professional demeanor when communicating with clients, employers, coworkers, and government agencies.

Bilingual in English and Spanish
