We are seeking aQuality Engineerto join ourMexico Plant , responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our wiper-system assembly line for truck programs.
The idóneo candidate combines a structured, data-driven mindset with hands-on experience in manufacturing quality systems.
This person will act as the local reference for all plant and customer quality matters, maintaining robust processes and supporting continuous improvement as production scales up.ESSENTIAL TASKS
Guard daily quality performance on the line, monitoring and improvingFPY, scrap, rework, and defect paretosthrough structured problem-solving (5-Why, 8 D).
Run and sustainincoming and in-process controls(visual, dimensional, torque, functional), ensuring gages, calibration, and MSA/GRR are up to date.Maintain and executeControl Plans and Work Instructionshanded over from Spain; manage change control in coordination with the Production Manager.Build and keep thePPAP dossiercurrent; supportRun@Raterehearsals and customer PSW/liberations.Lead or supportinternal auditsand readiness forISO ****, IATF *****,
and VDA 6.3(training provided if needed).
Partner withProcess Engineering and Maintenanceon root-cause analysis and corrective actions (4 M approach: Man, Method, Machine, Material).
Serve as thelocal interface with customers and supplierson quality issues, maintaining a calm, factual, and professional communication style.PROFILE REQUIRED
3+ years of experiencein manufacturing quality, ideally in theautomotive industryor other highly disciplined environments.Strong grasp ofControl Plans, defect analysis, basic statistics, and 8 D methodology.Hands-on experience inincoming/in-process inspection, gage management, and MSA/GRR.Excellent organizational and documentation discipline, with attention to detail and traceability.Fluent Spanishandworking proficiency in English(required for Spain-based training and technical documentation).
Availability foroccasional off-shift or weekend supportduring new product launches.Nice to have (trainable if missing):
Knowledge ofISO ****, IATF *****, and VDA 6.3standards.Experience withPPAP documentation, Run@Rate , andcustomer audits.Familiarity withtraceability systems, torque tools, and functional testing.WHAT WE OFFER
