The automation engineer will be responsible for the installation, setup, maintenance and proper functioning of automated processes used to build custom rechargeable medium and large format battery packs. This role includes interacting with China team members to design, select equipment, program, debug and validate the process to ensure the end product meets the quality requirements defined.

This position will develop installation, maintenance and changeover procedures utilizing SMED techniques to maximize equipment OEE. Key metrics to manage are safety, downtime, maintenance cost, overtime and improving these using tools like predictive maintenance and and TPM.

Proven hands on experience with automated equipment used in manufacturing and designing work stations, standard operating procedures and fixtures. Colaborate creating documenation packages that includes flow chart, PFMEA, control plan, visual aids, work instruction, SPC, DOE amongst other.

-College Degree -4-8+ years of relevant experience -Advanced English -MS Office and related programming software required Ability to summarize major issues and communicate effectively with managers and non-managers from production, engineering, program management and quality management.
