Failure Analysis Engineer The Failure Analysis Engineer is responsible for identifying the failure mode of warranties, testing and diagnosing products, monitoring product behavior, writing and sharing reports, drawing conclusions on occurred failures and making recommendations.
General Responsibilities Participates in the evaluation of the electrical and mechanical characteristics of systems and/or integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine the cause of failure, including the verification of analog and digital performance
Assists with analyzing failure reports and recommends corrective action. Develops methods, processes, procedures and equipment that will improve the failure analysis process and/or reduce failures
Participates in product returns and Conduct product failure analysis
Meet and exceed internal and external Service Level Agreements
Maintain daily productivity / workflow reports
Maintain, review and update process documentation on a regular basis
Participates in reviewing current processes on a regular basis and implement new processes as required
Ability to read blueprints, specifications and engineering changes
Ability to interact with employees at all levels
Experience / Qualifications A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
