About the role
Higher Options is looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day bookkeeping operations of a growing accounting firm.
This role is adecuado for someone with 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to grow. CPA certification is not required. What matters most is accuracy, reliability, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
You will help keep financial records clean and up to date while working with tools like QuickBooks Online, Xero, Excel, and cloud-based systems.

Key responsibilities
- Record and categorize financial transactions accurately.
- Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
- Organize invoices, receipts, statements, and supporting documents.
- Help prepare basic financial reports.
- Support month-end bookkeeping tasks under the guidance of senior team members.




- Review transactions for errors, duplicates, or missing information.
- Communicate clearly with the team and ask questions when needed.
- Follow internal processes, checklists, and bookkeeping best practices.

Required qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting assistant, or finance support experience.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles, reconciliations, invoices, bills, and expense categorization.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
- Good Excel or Google Sheets skills.
- Advanced English, C1.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability.
- Ability to work remotely and overlap with U.S. business hours.

- Experience with U.S. clients or U.S. accounting practices.
