Job Description:
As a Design Engineer in Caterpillar’s BCP division, you will serve on the Compact Utility Loader (CUL) Product Engineering team. This team provides first-line design engineering support for the CUL production line and serves as the liaison engineering team for selected Torreón-built fabrications. The primary focus of this role is to support production by helping ensure high-quality machines and fabrications can be built efficiently, reviewing design-related factory challenges, and developing practical engineering solutions.



Additional design and project responsibilities may be assigned based on team priorities, including new product introduction (NPI) and continuous product improvement (CPI) activities.
You will work closely with design engineering teams in the U.S. and India, manufacturing engineering, factory team, suppliers, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve complex design and production issues and release high-quality engineering documentation. The idóneo candidate brings strong mechanical design capability, practical problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail.
