Product Designer, Marketplace About Nelo Nelo is a leading consumer fintech and e-commerce platform in Mexico, with $500MM in annualized GMV and $75MM in annualized revenue. Our mission is to increase the buying power of consumers in Latin America, and we are doing so by building a modern alternative to credit cards. Nelo has raised over $40M of venture capital from investors including Homebrew, Two Sigma Ventures and Susa Ventures. Nelo has additionally raised a $100M asset credit facility from Victory Park Capital. Our lean team includes experienced leaders from top technology companies including Uber, Amazon, Rappi, and DiDi. More merchants, more checkout surfaces, more consumer touchpoints that need intentional design. This is the first dedicated design hire for Nelo's marketplace, and it is a chance to own a real surface early in your career rather than push pixels inside someone else's system. You will own the design layer for everything that touches the online store: navigation, checkout flows, merchant storefronts, and promotional placements.



The work is primarily web and mobile web. If you are early in your career and hungry to run a product area, this is built for you. You will diagnose the friction and design the fix. When a merchant wants a custom checkout experience or a seasonal pop-up, you design it. You will work in the marketplace working group alongside the PM and engineering team, translating product requirements into design decisions and defending those decisions with rationale. Campaign emails, social posts, promotional banners. If you have only ever done pure product design and plan to keep it that way, this role is not the right fit. Collaboration with Brand Design on visual consistency. You will not own the brand, but you will work alongside our Brand Designer to make sure marketplace design does not diverge from it.
