About the role As an Engineering Manager at Crunchtime, you are responsible for the health and output of one or more engineering teams. This role requires a balance of short-term delivery and long-term investment in people and architecture. To support Crunchtime's continued scaling, we are adding two new Engineering Manager roles to the organization. Our applications are designed to provide a unified, data-driven experience for our global hospitality customers. What you'll d o as an Engineering Manager: You own the full talent lifecycle: hiring, retention, professional development, and performance management. Use Agile practices to deliver value in small, frequent cycles, maintaining tight feedback loops with customers, product, and quality teams.
An experienced engineer who values simplicity and pragmatism, implementing the right technical solution for the current problem without over-engineering. A leader who favors giving the team context over exerting control, ensuring everyone understands the "why" so they can own the "how." A natural builder who is passionate about engineering excellence, from code review culture to high test coverage and automation. Nice to haves Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams. Demonstrated software engineering experience in a modern tech stack. Proficiency with Jira, Slack, and Zoom. Background in developing enterprise-grade web products at scale or managing distributed systems. Familiarity with DevOps best practices and experience managing remote or distributed teams.
